Description Facebook is seeking a highly strategic, quantitative, process and detail-oriented Program Manager to join Facebook’s Business Planning & Operations team with a focus on supporting global strategic and operational projects. The mission of the Business Planning & Operations group is to maximize business performance by being the objective, trusted partner to the sales organization – through strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence. We also identify and drive critical projects and strategic initiatives to support revenue growth.
The role will be part of the central team that concentrates on centralizing and optimizing processes, strategic planning, and policies to scale across the GMS organization while also driving large scale strategic programs.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about Facebook, interested in advertising, a strong project manager, a strategic thinker, highly analytical, an excellent problem solver, a fast learner, comfortable with ambiguity and able to focus on the details while thinking strategically. The candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong technical acumen, and experience managing cross-functional workstreams and stakeholders. This is a full-time position located in our Menlo Park office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with team to support and drive strategic programs effectively within GMS and with other cross-functional teams across the company globally including Finance, Data Management, Product, Engineering, Customer Insights

  • Act as a PMO supporting a variety of ongoing efforts and workstreams

  • Prepare detailed analysis, decks, plans, milestones, deliverables and overall status updates

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope

  • Develop strong stakeholder relationships, maintaining effective communication channels

  • Proactively manage risk, anticipate potential issues and implement appropriate mitigations

  • Work proactively to resolve critical issues

  • Understand the needs of our sales organization and represent them in cross-functional environments

  • Support and work on a wide variety of projects simultaneously, understanding that done is better than perfect to maximize impact

  • Help drive operational excellence in the GMS organization by identifying opportunities for operational improvements based on review of current processes through documentation of process and data flows

  • Make informed recommendations based on experience and understanding of information flow strategies and best practices when working with data

  • Project manage improvements to business processes to drive higher efficiencies using a data-driven approach

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or related field)

  • 8+ years of work experience in Sales Finance, Sales Analytics, Sales Operations, and/or Strategy consulting, or 6+ years experience with MBA/Master’s degree

  • Project management experience, and experience in managing multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment

  • Experience with end-to-end project management and implementation

  • Demonstrated problem-solving with experience providing business insights and recommendations from data sets

  • Proven stakeholder management experience – including managing multiple partners simultaneously

  • Excel and PPT experience

  • Demonstrated experience presenting technical content to audiences

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or graduate degree in an analytical field

  • Prior experience with online advertising

  • Experience extracting data from large/complex databases

  • SQL and Tableau experience

  • Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
