With over 130 million subscribers enjoying great content in over 190 countries, it is an exciting time to work at Netflix. Netflix seeks a seasoned business and legal affairs attorney to help support and grow our international kids and family animated programming business.
The successful candidate will work with the company’s Kids and Family Programming content team to structure, negotiate and draft agreements with independent and international rights holders, studios and producers to acquire, develop and produce animated kids and family series in international territories. The role will also require working with internal teams on related intellectual property and other matters as they arise (e.g., copyright, trademark, publicity), and delving into local law and practice in various international territories. The role requires creative thinking and good judgment, along with being comfortable exploring new transaction models, flexibility to quickly pivot within a strategy and ability to independently make decisions that have both legal and business impact. This is a unique opportunity to help shape our developing kids programming strategy and make decisions that have both business and legal impacts.
The successful candidate will have 5 – 10 years of broad based business and legal affairs experience with specific knowledge in animation production, and/or distribution. Experience with the Asia Pacific market and practical knowledge of the animation industry (including production and licensing) is required.
