We are looking for a Researcher who is passionate about helping people in communities around the world connect with businesses so they can get hired. We are a collaborative team full of people who aren't shy about working on rapidly evolving products with massive growth potential. Our Researchers are excited about helping our teams learn how to achieve product-market fit and scale globally. We are looking for a Researcher who can balance rapid hypothesis testing with building the foundation of understandings around who we are building for and the problems we can solve for them.
For this position, we are looking for a mixed-methods Researcher who is strong in quantitative methods. The candidate should have experience in survey and questionnaire design, sampling, and statistical analyses of survey and behavioral data. This Researcher will be responsible for leading generative and evaluative research as well as weaving quantitative and qualitative research to deliver actionable product insights to inform decisions. The Researcher will proactively partner with Data Science and Market Research (consumer & business) teams to triangulate product insights to bring a holistic understanding. Ability to effectively manage and execute on their research plans through ambiguous and fast-changing environments and work with diverse stakeholders to help bridge alignment is also essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with product teams to identify research initiatives

  • Plan and execute end-to-end generative and evaluative research across the Jobs ecosystem

  • Design hypotheses and lead studies that examine behaviors and attitudes across multi-faced customer segment: consumers, businesses, and partners globally

  • Generate actionable insights that both explore broad understandings and evaluate product experiences

  • Conduct research using a wide variety of quantitative methods and strong interest in growing qualitative skills

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, data science, market research, engineering, content strategy and design

  • Communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • MS/PhD, human behavior related field (HCI, Psychology, Social Science, Information Science, etc.)

  • 2+ years experience in applied product research

  • Mixed method research experience, leading with quantitative research experience, behavioral analysis, and statistical concepts including survey design and response effects

  • Experience working with large-scale data in multi-method studies

  • Knowledge of a set of qualitative and user-centered design methods with experience expanding qualitative research

  • Experience asking, as well as answering questions

  • Communication experience
