Description In this spirit, Facebook seeks a highly motivated, experienced team player to serve as a Law Enforcement Outreach Manager based in Menlo Park, California, USA. The position will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with law enforcement authorities, government agencies with an online safety and security focus, and industry coalitions in the United States, Canada, Central America, and the Caribbean. The position will also manage tactical responses to events related to the law enforcement and security community.

The perfect candidate will have a multidisciplinary investigative and analytics background, experience gathering open source intelligence, the ability to foster trusted relationships across different cultures, and the capacity to make risk-based decisions. Successful candidates will be focused on results and are self-starters.

The position is a full-time role and would entail frequent travel within the United States and to Canada, Central America, and the Caribbean.


  • Develop and maintain effective, strategic working relationships with law enforcement and security authorities in the United States, Canada, Central America, and the Caribbean.

  • Work closely with the legal, public policy, and other internal teams in our engagement with law enforcement, regulators, and legislators on diverse online safety topics, including child protection and counter-terrorism.

  • Educate law enforcement authorities on our policies, including those for protecting user privacy and responding to legal requests.

  • Work with investigation teams to develop and refer relevant matters to law enforcement authorities.

  • Work with internal teams and global safety organizations to develop and enhance safety awareness and other safety-related issues.

  • Gather and report on local intelligence regarding threats that could potentially impact Facebook's global workforce and business operations.

  • Support launches and different initiatives being driven across platforms that relate to online safety and security.

  • Willingness to work off hours and overtime, including the weekend and occasional holidays, to support emergency matters and interact with globally-based company employees.

  • Experience working comfortably in a fast-paced, dynamic, start-up culture.


  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 10+ years experience of investigative experience within law enforcement or intelligence agencies in the United States.

  • Strategic thinker, and problem solver with analytic experience formulating recommendations based on reasonable conclusions.

  • Presentation experience before audiences.

  • Experience prioritizing projects and assignments across multiple topics while meeting deadlines.


  • Investigative experience within law enforcement or intelligence agencies out the U.S.

  • Technical knowledge and experience related to cybercrime and online investigations, including experience working in child safety and counter-terrorism.

  • Knowledge of social media ecosystems.

  • Fluency in Spanish.
