Hulu’s Ad Operations team is seeking a Manager who will be an exceptional addition to our New York-based Sales and Sales Operations team. As an enthusiastic Manager of Ad Operations at Hulu, you will be responsible for maximizing Hulu’s video ad delivery by ensuring all aspects of our client service, campaign management, and implementation processes are optimized for efficiency in order to fulfill our booked revenue goals. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Ad Operations, this role will oversee a team of exceptional Campaign Leads, facilitate best-in-class client service, as well as partner closely with Ad Ops and Planning leads, in order to best operationalize campaign setup through our proprietary advertising tech stack. The right person for this role is both dynamic and goal oriented, and while technical, has excellent internal and cross departmental communication skills.   • Manage a team of Campaign Leads with positivity and leadership guidance necessary for them to manage their books of business
  • Establish a thorough and accountable understanding of direct report’s revenue support in order to partner with Sales Account Executives and Sales Management
  • Develop and maintain operational workflow for campaign management and trafficking implementation across all Hulu platforms and distribution partners
  • Drive strategy forward with direct reports as well as lead consistency among other Ad Ops leads nationwide
  • Work with New York Ad Ops Manager counterpart to oversee and align training documentation and guidelines to ensure new hires excel in their on-boarding, including maintaining updates as business and marketplace objectives evolve
  • Serve as primary escalation for team members for campaign, internal or external business challenges
  • Maintain deep comprehension of ad server delivery logic and industry best practices and standards
  • Have a strong understanding of sales flow processes and partner with Planning and Ad Ops leads to review post-launch benchmarks and conceive efficiency enhancements with measurable results
  • Coach and mentor Campaign Lead team with tangible and frequent performance feedback, maximizing retention and career growth for direct reports
  • Support Ad Tech and Platform Management; including how Campaign Lead team helps to drive new processes
  • Support and partner with various internal teams such as Sales Planners, Account Executives, Integrated Marketing, Program Managers, Finance, and Research
  • Regular and consistent attendance, must be flexible to work nights and weekends when projects, launches, or responsibilities dictate


  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Digital Ad Sales Operations
  • At least 2 years of experience managing or mentoring multiple individuals in a similar role
  • Detailed comprehension and experience in trafficking digital video and other interactive formats, including VAST and VPAID
  • Experience with a video ad server (FreeWheel, Doubleclick for Video, etc.)
  • Firm understanding of digital video marketplace, vendors, and third-party technologies
  • Expert problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent client and interpersonal skills, with a flexible attitude
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience and comfort with presenting and training in front of large groups
  • Must be detailed oriented, demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks in warp-speed marketplace and work environment


  • Knowledge of Programmatic solutions (DSP, SSP, Trading Desks, Deal ID)
  • Familiarity with Flash, JavaScript, HTML5 or CSS
  • Experience in a queue management/ticketing system (JIRA)
