As a Research Product Manager Intern in the FRL Research team, you will lead experiences and technology roadmap definition and will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff in hardware and software engineering, product, design, user research and many others, to conceive, design and ultimately create new disruptive solutions. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within a fast-paced, open collaborative peer environment.
Our internship is twelve (12) to sixteen (16) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year.


  • Work cross-functionally to identify, research and enable next-generation technologies for state of the art VR, MR, and AR experiences.

  • Use market and user research and in-depth knowledge user needs, pain points and competitors to define a vision and strategy for the technology roadmap.

  • Deliver technology value proposition, key features, and competitive positioning.

  • Creatively work with FRL's concept engineering team for technology proof of concepts to advance validation of value proposition and implementation.

  • Develop outstanding strategic relationships with product peers and engineering, research, business, design, and user research teams among others.


  • MBA candidate

  • 4+ years' experience in high-tech HW/SW or in an industry with high complexity (e.g., bio medical)

  • Excellent product sense and customer empathy

  • High intellectual quotient, technical comprehension

  • Ability to adapt to ambiguity and bring structure, cope with high rate of change

  • Cross-discipline communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to think strategically and break down a problem to execute and gain traction


  • Experience developing nascent consumer hardware and software technologies into successful mass-market products

  • Experience delivering products with next-generation technology and pioneering new markets

  • Experience working within or closely with a research team and Ph.d researchers

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering or design discipline
