Description Building 8 brings together world-class experts to develop and ship groundbreaking products at the intersection of hardware, software, and content. We have a clear mandate to ship products at scale. In particular, seemingly impossible products that define new categories and that advance Facebook's mission of connecting the world. The B8 team will apply DARPA-style breakthrough development at the intersection of ambitious science and product development. It will operate on aggressive, fixed timelines, with extensive use of partnerships in universities, small and large businesses.
Facebook's Building 8 team is looking for a Creative Director/Writer to partner with designers, researchers and product marketers to plan and create the content for Facebook hardware products ensuring a consistent voice across all touch points. This is a full-time position based in our Menlo Park office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, draft, edit, and test content including brand & interface language, product education materials, product names, navigational nomenclature and other content throughout Building 8 products and experiences

  • Develop original marketing content for a variety of touch points, - including but not limited to - product, interface, packaging, OOH, film, mobile and retail

  • Help apply and maintain consistency with voice across all brand products and platforms

  • Collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, product marketers and engineers to serve a global audience

  • Help lead and manage both in-house and external teams in creative strategy, execution and production

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years experience delivering creative work on projects across a variety of touch points

  • Experience in packaging, product, film, mobile, OOH and retail

  • Experience with VR, AR or other emerging technologies

  • Experience leading and managing both in-house and external teams in creative strategy, execution and production

  • Experience setting priorities, problem-solving, and multi-tasking

  • Experience with design thinking and user experience

  • Experience with social products

  • Experience with information architecture or responsive content
