Description Since 2010, the Facebook Analog Research Lab (ARL) has existed as a creative space for design and art making. It was founded on passion and hard work, not corporate initiative, and its continued existence is a reflection of Facebook’s unique creative do-it-yourself hacker spirit.

The team, referred to as the Facebook Art Department, has scaled their operations alongside the company globally. This team continues to help make our corporate culture feel not-so-corporate through a number of programs they lovingly oversee. Our team consists of makers, curators, and producers seeded within the company who strongly believe in the value and power of art and design in society. We are committed to providing the space and resources to diverse artists to create original projects that push the boundaries of their respective practices and allow for exploration of new materials and ideas.

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead, track, and communicate against cross-functional projects affecting multiple teams and office locations throughout The Americas (North and Latin America). The ideal candidate is someone who has managed and built strong cross-functional relationships and is highly organized and a strong communicator. This is an internal facing role that will take ownership to drive projects while ensuring that all the stakeholders are involved and aligned throughout the process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage intake, scoping, budget and schedules for new project requests.

  • Process contracts, purchase orders and invoices for artists, designers, agencies, vendors, partners, etc.

  • Help develop and utilize program management tools. Assign, track, and communicate progress around tasks.

  • Define and manage reporting framework to measure success for ARL and AIR projects.

  • Organize tasks into broader, longer term projects to support leadership with vision and strategy.

  • Lead projects by facilitating communication, coordination, planning and execution across Facilities teams and business partners.

  • Ensure project roles and responsibilities are clear, and ensure alignment across all contributors.

  • Coordinate with key partners (HR, Recruiting, Finance, etc.) to support new projects.

  • Effectively influence leaders and key partners to gain alignment.

  • Manage project meetings, schedules, milestones and delivery.

  • Prepare project correspondence and presentations, as needed, for status reports, executive updates, meetings, annual planning, etc.

  • Organize and manage the distribution of content on social media channels (primarily Facebook and Instagram).

  • Track and report social media metrics to provide insights and ideas for growth.

  • Work with teams to measure the impact of projects and ensure scalable solutions within a growing company.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.A. or B.S. degree

  • 10+ years experience managing and developing teams in art/design

  • Experience building relationships with cross-functional teams

  • Experience in project management and strategic planning

  • Experience in team communication and problem solving

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Keynote and Google Docs

  • Experience with at least one project management tool (e.g. Asana, Basecamp)

  • Experience in social media strategy & analytics

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or Master's degree

  • Experience working in a growth company

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud
